I’m gonna have to try this. Maybe tonight.
Update:
I couldn’t pass on trying something that sounded so easy. Unlike my usual experience, this actually was that easy. I had the popovers in the oven as soon as it had pre-heated. One other tip - don’t open the oven door to peek at them until they are really done (30 minutes). I’d like to pretend that I didn’t eat all three of them last night, but that would be a lie. They were perfect and delicious. Talk about an optimal ratio of deliciousness to effort/time.

Of course you ate them all…popovers don’t keep, do they? That would just be wasteful. I had boxed pasta with canned sauce and frozen peas for dinner. After a 1-1/4 hour drive home.
But it was lovely to see you!

Yum– what did you put on them? I like the sound of the apples and cinnamon…

Butter, sugar and cinnamon. And then I made them at Pat’s where we had butter and orange marmalade.

Amy,
I have never made popovers, but they looked and sounded so good and easy. So, I went on ebay and bought a few ramekins and a popover tin and tried them today for lunch. Yummmm! Now, if Fred is deserving, I might make him a batch. Thank you for the recipe.
