Three cheers to the Captain, who busted his hump to get us all the way to Martha’s Vineyard today. Bad weather set us back a day – we spent yesterday near Newport, RI instead of Cuttyhunk. He also did it single handed, since I was pretty much out of it with the seasickness. What I’ve learned in five weeks is that once I’m sick, even with Dramamine, the only thing I can do is lie flat with a blanket over my head. Every once in a while I peek out to make sure Scott hasn’t been swept over board. It’s the least I can do.
And this is my last day on the boat for a while. After my week on the Vineyard, I’m going to drive south to move us into our new place, and let Scott take his time getting back. I think this is a win-win situation for both of us. I’m excited about daily showers, grocery stores, and getting to know our new town. I’m even excited to get back to work. Scott is going to enjoy boating without an itinerary for a bit.
I will probably not blog from the Vineyard vacation, and then will take a couple days to get into the new house and get internet set up, so this is it for me for a bit. Don’t forget to check back in a couple of weeks!

Try crystalized ginger next time. I don’t get on a boat without it…and it gives you nice fresh breath! Have fun on the VIneyard!

Glad that you made it to your destination. UB is still waiting for some good pictures of the Admiral, one would hope that that will happen while in the vineyard! Drive safely on your way south. Cheers from the West.

UB,
I just counted, and while Amy was aboard, there were just as many pictures of her on my blog as there were of me (7). How’s that for parity? So I’m not sure what you are complaining about.
And what’s the deal with you commenting on Amy’s blog, but never commenting on mine?

Have not been able to post answer on Scott’s Blog. Split decision should not throw rocks when he/she lives in glass house. Who is split decision? You do not want to see picture of 74 year young Steeler fan. Born and raised in Steeler country. Have been life long Steeler Pirate/Steeler fan thru winning and losing days, unfortunately the Pirates have more than their share of losing days. I guess that I won’t see a better picture of the Admiral, so be it! Presently reside in northern California near the prison made famous by Johnny Cash. Cheers from the west.

Hi UB-
Split Decision is Scott himself… I’m sure we’ll have pictures of me up sometime. Now that I’m on land and have clean hair, I don’t shy from the camera quite so much.

Everyone knows that Steeler fans are severely challenged in the looks department, so maybe it’s better that there are no pics of UB posted on the web.
UB, are you still in the halfway house in Folsom? Have they extended your parole privileges so that you can travel out of state?
Cheers from Martha’s Vineyard!

Scott, Steeler fans are head and sholders above Raven fans! With Scott’s picture on the web, we have all the looks department challenged males that the web can stand. I’m not in a halfway house, it is an all way house! I could travel out of state but smoke and cost of gas prohibits extensive travel. Next big trip is a visit to Mt Lassen in mid September. Lassen is furtherest south of chain of once active volcanos in the western mountain ranges. Cheers from the west, When do you leave the vinyard?

I was wondering what happened to you Scott. Glad to see that you are still alive. Good pictures, I’m impressed with the suit, I think that is the first time Ive ever seen you in one. Cheers from smoky and very warm 100+ degrees, with no relief until the weekend, take care Trahelgne west sends.
